The course

Fuerteventura Golf Club hosted the Spanish Open in 2004. Designed by Juan Catarineu, it's an 18-hole, par-70 course of 6,069 metres from the men's tees and 5,257 metres from the women's. It's fairly flat, with wide fairways, three lakes linked by a stream, 67 bunkers, palm trees and views out to sea and over to the mountains.

Facilities

  • A driving range, a large putting green and a chipping area.
  • A golf school, with lessons from about €40 for half an hour.
  • Club hire and buggies (buggies keep off the fairways).
  • A restaurant run by the Elba Palace Golf hotel next door.

Green fees and booking

Summer green fees (mid-April to mid-October 2026) were about €79 for 18 holes and €61 for 9. Winter, when most golfers come, costs more, so check current prices when you book. Book tee times in advance on fuerteventuragolfclub.com, and take a handicap certificate.
